Homemade Annoying Game #1 & #2 - reposts Comments

Thought I’d repost these two classics from my other site

Homemade Annoying Game #1
annoying gameHere’s a little game I created - feel free to play it on your computer or print it out for a loved one. It’s based on those circle-things-in-picture games for kids. This version, though no more advanced, is better. This is a fact.

Well, it is subjective I guess. Some people don’t like things that are fun. Anyway, click the thumbnail on the left to view the game. Enjoy!

Homemade Annoying Game #2
annoying2.jpgHere’s another little game I created - feel free to play it on your computer or print it out for a loved one. It’s based on those circle-things-in-picture games for kids, but you circle anything that’s annoying in the picture. I couldn’t find too many things annoying in this one (only three - they’re pretty obvious, as usual), but there are many things worth commenting on. Anyway, click the thumbnail on the left to view the game, and leave a comment to make observations* about the picture.

*observations . . . in this case mispronouncing, “clever and ironic statements for the sake of entertaining one another in the broad scope of living out creative lives.”

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Socratic Method Comments

I came across an interesting article on Digg — it was interesting on two levels: one, I learned about an fascinating method of teaching (The Socratic Method, of course); and two, I learned binary arithmetic [along with a bunch of third graders]. The Socratic Method of teaching is a method of teaching using only questions. Binary arithmetic is arithmetic using only two numbers [namely, 1 and 0].

Here’s the link.

Comment and let me know if you have had any experience with the Socratic Method . . . or with binary arithmetic for that matter!

100 Novels Refresh Comments

Okay, so I haven’t been reading as much as I would like. I got stalled out on the sci-fi classic, “Stranger in a Strange Land,” by Heinlein. I don’t know, it wasn’t exciting enough to keep my interest, I guess. So, with the new year fast approaching, I intend to dive back into my 100(+) novels list with renewed fervor. If you don’t know what I’m talking about see the 100 Novels page.
